👋 I'm Matt - a backend-focused engineer who enjoys building and shipping real systems, with a strong background in data, SQL, and modern cloud-native architectures. I also build practical AI features where they add real value.

Most of my work sits at the intersection of backend engineering and data: designing and implementing APIs, integrations, event-driven services, and data workflows that support real products. On the AI side, I've shipped LLM and retrieval-based features as part of production systems, not experiments.

My core toolkit includes Node.js/TypeScript, Python, SQL, and distributed systems. I'm comfortable across clouds and infrastructure, and while I enjoy thinking at a systems level, I'm happiest when that thinking turns into working, maintainable software.
